Linn 343
More Than Meets the Ear
The compact reference loudspeaker that fits into any home
This is 343: the first loudspeaker to be designed around Linn’s revolutionary Pistonik drive unit technology from the outset. One in which Linn’s authentic proprietary technologies converge to project an unshakeable illusion of reality. A reference loudspeaker, concealed inside a form so compact and poised that its achievement becomes quietly improbable.
343 isn’t simply a loudspeaker that sounds “big for its size”. It is technically explicit, visually calm and emotionally immediate, delivering performance without imposition and presence without bulk.
The wonder of 343 is how completely it changes what a compact loudspeaker can be: reference performance beautifully encapsulated in a form fit for any home.

Exakt Integrated combines Utopik power supply, Exakt digital crossover, Power DAC architecture, Organik DACs and Adaptive Bias Control amplification within a single integrated module.

Passive with Active Bass (PWAB) shares the same Pistonik 6” and 8” drive units, with Utopik and Power DAC technology powering the bass system. The upper bass, midrange and tweeter are driven by external amplification.
Form, Function and the Art of Diasppearing
Linn 343 brings reference-level performance, integrated electronics and elegant proportions together in a cabinet where every design decision serves both acoustic and aesthetic purposes.
Its seamless, edge-free form minimises sound diffraction, helping preserve the character of room reflections and creating a stable, precisely defined soundstage across a wide listening area. The result is a presentation in which the loudspeaker seems to disappear, leaving the music centre stage.
Poised on its points of contact, 343’s flowing, sine-wave lower profile gives the cabinet an almost weightless appearance. This sculpted form also accommodates the down-firing 8-inch Pistonik bass driver, maximising acoustic volume while retaining a slender front baffle.
The cabinet is formed from glass-fibre-reinforced moulding compound, combining rigidity and density with thinner walls. This maximises internal space for the bass system and integrated electronics while preserving the loudspeaker’s refined proportions.
In 343, acoustic engineering and sculptural design work as one, delivering exceptional performance in a form designed to complement the living space.

The Modules
Concealed within a sculpted cowl at the rear of 343, the module houses the technology that powers the loudspeaker. In the Exakt Integrated variant, this includes a Utopik power supply, Exakt digital crossover, Power DAC architecture, Organik DACs and Adaptive Bias Control amplification. In the PWAB variant, Utopik and Power DAC technology power the bass system, while the upper bass, midrange and tweeter are driven by external amplification.
The module is suspended on a three-point spring system, mechanically isolating the electronics from cabinet vibration. Cooling is entirely passive and silent, using a custom triangular-prism aluminium heat sink that draws air upwards through the module and releases heat through a machined vent at the top of the cabinet.

When Pistonik was introduced in Linn’s flagship 360 loudspeakers, it redefined expectations for low-frequency performance. In 343, it takes a step further: the first loudspeaker designed around Pistonik from the outset, with its cabinet, down-firing bass architecture, drive unit and electronics developed as one holistic acoustic system.
Rather than combining multiple drivers, Pistonik delivers exceptional bass from a single, fundamentally more capable 8” driver, combining vast excursion, outstanding linearity and precise control.
The down-firing arrangement integrates this performance within 343’s compact enclosure, using the floor as a reflective acoustic boundary for efficient, omni-directional bass, while the loudspeaker’s mass helps counter the driver’s reactive forces.
The result is bass with remarkable depth, authority and scale, balanced by the precision and composure to reveal every nuance. Clean, assured and immediate, low frequencies feel intrinsic to the recording.
The 6” Pistonik upper bass driver brings low distortion, linearity and precise control to the frequencies that define music’s body and presence. Together, 343’s bass drivers handle around 70% of its acoustic workload, extending Pistonik’s benefits from deep bass through the vocal range and beyond.
